BE Transportation

The Brandon-Evansville School’s #1 priority in transportation is safety.  In order to follow through on that priority we need your help.  This year we have received an increasing number of phone calls and written messages concerning changes in transportation needs.  There appears to be an assumption that the district will make whatever change is necessary to accommodate personal and family schedules.  We realize that your life is hectic and schedules change, but these daily changes are getting more than a bit overwhelming.  We want to work with you on transportation concerns, but there are increasing concerns about student safety.

Brandon-Evansville School Bus Slip has been created for you to use if a change in the regular bus drop off is needed.  Please complete this form and send with your child to school the day of the change.  Your Kindergarten – 1st grade student should show their teacher and bring with them on the bus. Students in 2nd – 5th grade should bring to Mary in the office before 9:00 AM. Students in 6th -12th grade should bring to Erin in the office before 9:00 AM.

For the safety of all students, no changes of drop-off locations will be permitted after 9:00 AM except in the case of an extreme emergency. In an extreme emergency please call your child’s school.  We will make an attempt to accommodate you. Parental convenience is not considered an emergency situation. Going to a friend’s house (even if it is on the same bus) is not considered an emergency situation.  Frequent bus changes make it difficult for bus drivers to monitor riders and to know where each student disembarks each day.
