Mrs. Boersma's 5th graders have been getting together with Mrs. Wendt and Mrs. VanKempen's 2nd grade classes on Fridays. They have worked on writing short stories, practicing phonics skills, making some seasonal crafts, making their own Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons, and have been having lots of fun!

Seniors and parents,
Are you familiar with FAFSA, the federal student loans and grants program?
Or are you interested in receiving a $1,000 scholarship?
Then take a look at signing up for these Ready, Set, FAFSA! events.
These events are online presentations offered through the Minnesota Department of Education and contain great information for students completing the FAFSA and parents who have never completed it with a student before.
If you have any questions contact Mr. Steele.

Congratulations to the FFA Horse judging team on placing first overall at the U of M-Crookston horse judging contest! Lillian placed 2nd overall individually and received a $600 scholarship!
The General Livestock judging team consisting of Aidyn, Alden and Tahira also competed.

Congratulations to the November Middle School and High School Students of the Month!
Middle School
Olivia Anderson and Owen Slack
High School
Ruby Quinn and Lily Luthi
What Staff have to say about the students of the month:
Olivia goes about her business as a student in my class as should be expected. She asks great questions and goes in depth on the answers she gives.
Owen has grown immensely in leadership this year. He helps keep his buddies on task in a respectful and appropriate manner. Owen consistently has quality work and is a great role model for his peers and the younger kids in the hallway
Ruby has been instrumental in making sure the logistics of the student council run well. She takes on large tasks then follows through without reminders.
Lily works hard in class and makes sure to communicate when she needs help. She is independent and though is taking on-line classes, she is often seen in the building working and setting an example for other seniors. In the classroom Lily is on top of her work, and pushes her classmates to do well. She is always willing to help with odd tasks. Lily seldom complains about the work she is asked to do.

GO CHARGERS!

The 5th graders from Mr. Anderson's class recently made their 2nd "Age to Age" visit to the Evansville Care Campus. The students brought 3 different Christmas crafts for their new friends to choose from. As they helped each other put the crafts together, many wonderful stories were shared between the different generations. The students will visit the residents with a themed craft each month this school year.
