Homecoming Week 2024!

Last night, the A-B-E Bolts ran at the Bertha-Hewitt invite at Double Eagle Golf Course. It was a beautiful night and a fast course. Most of the runners came away with season bests or PRs. The last few weeks, we have been hurting and doing more cross training. Tonight's results validated the rehab as the runners did amazing.
On the girls team, Lauren had a strong start and jumped out to the front of the pack where she got comfortable and into a steady rhythm. She finished 2nd with a time of 20:49.2. This is a new A-B-E school record. This was a big goal for her this year and her hard work paid off. She has set the bar high for the Bolts.
Lexi was second for the team after missing the last meet with an injury. Like Lauren, she had a great start and set a PR by almost a minute. She's looking strong and confident right now.
Hope was third for the team with a strong middle section of the race. She also missed the last race due to injury, but looked great running tonight with her own PR.
Vy and Rita spent much of the race running with each other and they used their energy to both set new PRs.
For the boys, Kenneth, August, and Benjamin ran together and pushed each other the entire race. All three ran the fastest times of the season and are just looking comfortable. They had a strategy to go after it tonight and it definitely paid off.
Ben B. had a slower start. He has been struggling with a leg issue, but it loosened up on him tonight. As the race went on, he became faster and really had a kick at the end. Each competition, he seems to get faster and faster, hitting new marks and succeeding at each goal.
Dylan was the final Bolt runner of the varsity. He has been hurt most of the season and is now just working to get back to where he was. He keeps motivating the team and pushing through the pain to give the team strength.
The Bolts are running the football from Ashby to Brandon this Friday night for the Homecoming game. Their next meet is next week on Thursday in Battle Lake.
