Wednesday, 3/20 was BEACH DAY! These kids boogie boarded and surfed all day long! Many of the students had not been to the ocean before so thankful to give them this experience! There were many applications of sunblock, which were still not enough for some of us!
THANK you to the members of the Urbank Lions and the Brandon Lions on understanding the importance of this trip and how it positively impacts students. We are SOOO thankful for your financial donations!!

Brandon-Evansville had 3 teams from 6-8th grade representing us in the Fluid Power Challenge at Alex Tech. Although they did not place in the top 3, these teams worked hard. Each group was given a box of materials and had to use that to build a machine that moved a wood cylinder over to a platform. 2 out of the 3 teams were able to build a machine that rotated, lifted, extended and gripped an object.

Hello Families! Our school is hosting NED’s Mindset Mission, a growth-mindset performance for all K-5th graders. A world-class performer takes our students on an interactive educational journey filled with storytelling, illusions, yo-yo tricks and humor. NED’s message and memorable friends inspire students, promote academic achievement, and support our school goals. Never give up Encourage others Do your best®
Our school received this program at no-cost because another school community has paid-it-forward to us. Now it’s our turn—you can help by purchasing a NED-messaged yo-yo and accessories. A yo-yo is both a mindset tool and tangible reminder of NED’s message. While learning to yo, children will make mistakes, try again, and improve. Read more at www.MindsetMission.com/yoyos.
Check your child's backpack this week to find out more about when yo-yo's will be available to purchase! To see a sneak peek preview video, click link below:

Brandon and Evansville Class of 1974 we need your help. Can you please have your class contact give Heather a call at 320-834-4084 ext. 2101 or email hslack@b-e.k12.mn.us. We are in need of class information for our 2024 Graduation Ceremony. Thank you!

18 BPA students attended the BPA State Contests this past week in Minneapolis. These students should be proud of themselves for their hard work and how they represented our school and our community. Well done!

At the beginning of the school year, the kindergarten class was asked to draw a picture of a monster. They color it and give it a name. They also give some likes and dislikes of their monsters. These drawings are then given to Mrs. Meissner, who in turn, has her 7th graders learn their sewing skills by recreating these drawings into little stuffed monsters. Some littles had forgotten the task from earlier in the year, but when they saw their drawings and the little stuffed replicas, there was nothing but smiles.
