Deciding when to keep a sick child home from school is not always easy. It’s important for children to attend school and for some parents, staying home means missing work. But when a child is truly sick, they need to stay home in the care of an adult to get well and prevent spreading illness to others.
For more information visit our website's illness guidelines page at: https://www.b-e.k12.mn.us/o/isd-2908/page/ill

Congratulations to the October Middle School and High School Students of the Month!
Middle School
Abby Knutson and Hadley Nelson
High School
Sarah Wagner and Feona Simonson
What Staff have to say about the students of the month:
Abby Knutson
Abby has taken her learning into her own hands. She has tried new studying strategies on her own. She is beginning to ask for help when she needs it and is working very hard to make sure she is successful.
Hadley Nelson
Hadley has been a great addition to our school. She is responsible and respectful. On days that she has missed school, she emails teachers to get her missing school work.
Sarah Wagner
Sarah is a friendly student who is always smiling and making others around her feel welcome. She works hard in class and sets a good example for others. Our school needs more kids like her.
Feona Simonson
Feona has definitely improved on her work ethic and she is willing to help others when they are struggling. I have really enjoyed having Feona in class this year.

Nine B-E FFA students attended the National FFA convention in Indianapolis this past week. We got to tour an Aquaculture farm that raised shrimp and Tilapia, attend sessions and workshops and Justin did a TV interview. There were many college and industry booths for students to talk to and learn more about and they also got to go to a Lainey Wilson concert and rodeo. The kids also got to meet YouTube farmers “FarmerGrayce” and “WelkerFarms”. Everyone had a fun week!
