I am looking forward to learning from my students and new co-workers, being a part of the Chargers team, and making new friends.

New Staff Spotlight - Mrs. Amy Reike - 3 School
Favorite Things to-do?
I love to spend time with my family and friends. I also inherited my Grandmother’s “need to feed”, so any chance I can get to have people over for a meal makes my heart happy.
Favorite Foods/Snacks?
I could eat pizza seven days a week, and milk chocolate keeps me sane!
Interests/Hobbies?
Reading has been my favorite hobby since I was a child. I am a fan of a huge variety of music and love listening to old and new artists. I also really enjoy fishing year-round, and playing games like Farkle & Rummy 500. I am on the Children Youth & Family Ministry Team at the Alexandria United Methodist Church, and love that I get to share my faith with children and people of all ages there.

I have a husband, a daughter (13) who will be in 8th grade this year at DMS, a son (6) who will be a kindergartener at GES, and a black lab (16 months).

What are you looking forward to during the 2022/23 School Year?
I hope to give the children in my classes every opportunity possible to learn through play, and I can’t wait to watch them grow throughout the year. I am also excited to work with a team of wonderful educators who can share their experiences with me.

Meeting everyone, getting to teach high school level classes again, coaching girls' basketball.

FFA Kickoff Meeting on September 20 at 5:45 in Mrs. Meissner's room. Come learn what FFA is about. All students in grades 7-12 are welcome to attend. We will have Rootbeer floats and a bean bag tournament.

I’m looking forward to teaching Science! Creating a curriculum that I enjoy teaching and the students enjoy learning. Also, not having a 40+ minute commute through rush hour traffic.
