Before the 4th of July, Brandon-Evansville students Greta Fuglseth and Lauren Thoennes attended the FCCLA National Conference in Seattle, Washington! Our first day we explored the Chuhilly Gardens, Seattle Space Needle and Seattle Museum of Pop Culture.
The FCCLA National conference drew more than 8000 students educators and guest from across the nation. This gathering provided a valuable platform for 10 days to expand their leadership skills, sharpen their talents, explore career pathways and listen to inspiring speakers the highly anticipated students taking action with recognition events, the heart of this conference, Greta and Lauren created a children’s puppet theater using discarded side table, picture frame and fabric and competed in the repurpose and redesign star event. They achieved a remarkable gold medal!
