Greetings Brandon-Evansville families,
West Central MN Communities Action, Inc. is teaming up with Group Mission Trips to help improve homes within a 25-mile radius of Ashby, Minnesota.
We are reaching out to elderly, disabled, single parents and income eligible residents. We are excited to transform homes; creating better living conditions for the families we serve! Hundreds of young adults from across America will come together for six days to repair and transform homes while strengthening and transforming their own faith.
Each home site will consist of 5 senior high youth and at least one adult leader. Site writers will visit your home prior to Group Cares Camp and help with identifying repairs and materials needed for your specific project. Eligible households must be within a 25-mile driving distance of Ashby, MN.
Eligible repairs are “basic” home repairs and are listed within the application. Both labor and materials will be free to qualifying households. Work will be done by youth volunteers.
Households receiving assistance must agree to provide water, electricity for tools, a restroom for the volunteers, as well as providing an adult in the home the week of the repairs.

Congratulations to the October Middle School and High School Students of the Month!
Middle School
Ahriya Olsen and Tyler Breitkreutz
High School
Drea Fernholz and August Bredberg
What Staff have to say about the students of the month:
Ahriya is focused in class and does a great job academically. She works well with other classmates and participates in class. She does a great job getting homework when she is absent and getting it completed right away.
Tyler has been an excellent student this year. He works hard to complete his coursework and is always willing to share his ideas during discussion time. Tyler has had a positive influence on many of his peers to grow in both responsibility and maturity.
Drea is a hard worker and always puts her best foot forward. Drea is a leader not just in her class but for so many other students in both middle and high school. Drea's attitude and authentic kindness is on display throughout our hallways everyday.
August is one of the few seniors who is in our school everyday and our school is better for it. August works hard and is a great asset to our student body. His friendliness and genuine personality is nice to have in our hallways.

Suicide doesn't end the pain... it just transfers it to the ones left behind. As many of you know, my family has unfortunately knows this pain too well. You are left with so many unanswered questions and the never-ending feeling of "if only I knew" or "if only I could have done something." Well, here is your chance!
The Brandon-Evansville BPA (Business Professionals of America) chapter has chosen Suicide Prevention as its service project this year, and we have set our donation goals high at $500. All donations collected will be given to the "Out of the Darkness" organization that uses these funds to help those affected by suicide and gives support to those left behind. We will be collecting donations from Monday, Oct 28th through Friday, Nov. 1st. Please consider donating a few dollars, your spare change, or making a donation in honor of someone who left too early. You can drop off any donation at either of the Brandon-Evansville School offices or contact a BPA member to come pick up your donation. Contact me if you would like to Venmo a donation.
On behalf of the B-E BPA organization, we thank you for helping us with this project.

Benjamin Myron had an awesome race and a huge kick to finish the season by setting a new A-B-E Bolts Team record with a time of 18:00.0.
