As part of the district’s Day of Action activities, our Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade students took part in a heartwarming project to spread positivity throughout the community. The students painted colorful and inspiring rocks that now fill our B/E Kindness Rock Garden — a special space designed to encourage acts of kindness. The garden invites all to “take one, share one, or leave one” to keep kindness growing. Each rock, painted with care and creativity, carries a message or image meant to brighten someone’s day. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Bob Wagner for generously donating the rocks that fill the garden, and to John Sullivan for his time and effort in helping bring this project to life. Their support helped turn a simple idea into a meaningful and lasting display of kindness from our youngest students.

Congratulations to the May Middle School and High School Students of the Month! Middle School Paige Meichsner and Myles Boesl High School Amelia Evjen and Kaden Englund (not pictured) What Staff have to say about the students of the month: Paige Meichsner Paige is amazing! She is a leader and tries to be the best she can be, because she wants to! Myles Boesl Myles has become a very dedicated student. He turns in his work on time, participates in class, and gives his best effort. He works well with anyone he is partnered with. He works hard, is friendly, and helps peers. Myles also takes feedback well and uses it to make improvements in his own work. Amelia Evjen Amelia is a wonderful student, she communicates with teachers when shes gone, helps peers with assignments, and is always delightful with a smile on her face. Kanden Englund Kaden has really stepped up this year to do what he needs to get his schoolwork done. He doesn't always enjoy what he is doing, but he will still get it done with no complaints.

Did you know that ninety percent of a child’s brain development happens before the age of 5? That’s why Brandon Preschool is looking for Early Learning Corps tutors to help our youngest learners make a strong start in school. Tutors serve during school hours and spend their days in a pre-kindergarten classroom helping students ages 3-5 talk, read, write, sing, and play. With the support of an on-site coach, you’ll also be trained to deliver activities proven to help students build early reading and math skills. A part-time (25 hours a week) position for the 2025-26 school year is available. Tutors receive a paycheck every two weeks plus an education award to pay for qualifying student loans or college tuition. Tutors aged 55 or older may gift the education award to their child, grandchild, stepchild, step-grandchild, or foster child. Ready to put your passion in action to help more students get ready for kindergarten? Learn more or apply at Join.ReadingandMath.org. Here's a link to apply directly to the position if you'd like to post this as well. https://join-readingmathcorps.icims.com/jobs/53456/early-learning-tutor/job?mode=view
