Jack has been more active in class discussions and willing to volunteer ideas, even when wrong. Additionally his leadership skills seen in athletics have been observed more in the classroom lately. We need more well-rounded individuals like Jack in our school.

Students from Brandon-Evansville FCCLA attended the Minnesota State FCCLA Conference at the end of March. Greta presented her project in Leadership, which earned her a Gold and invitation to Nationals. Kendall's project on Career Investigations earned her a Gold and alternate for Nationals. These students and Advisor, Erin Okerlund, listened to conference sessions, including keynote speaker Patrick Grady, 1st Lady Gwen Walz, and Lead Coach for the Mentally Strong Coaches Academy, Melissa Hager.
While students attended presentations on leadership, wellness, making positive choices and making a difference in our school. Mrs. Okerlund was involved in evaluating student presentations and attending advisor round tables and meetings. The students were excited to attend the evening lip sync contest and Academy Awards Dance. Thank you to each parent, community member or organization that supports these activities for students to attend. This experience is priceless!
